Mr. Hurst went on to explain that Mr. Guevara and his wife buy homes, fix them up, and sell them for a profit. Mr. Hurst further testified that Mr. Guevara told him that he was concerned because 3-4 months after purchasing the property, he was online checking the listings of the property he owned. He noticed that the deed to the property had been transferred from HIMSELF BACK TO MRS. BRATTON. In actuality Mr. Guevra learned about those documents being recorded based off of Barbara Bratton’s counter claim to his quiet title claim action which Barbara emphatically stated having a corrected and warranty deed on file. Barbara did this not to steal property but preserved her interest in the property. Barbara also had an entry of default in the unlawful detainer court.

The people next presented exhibit 3 which was three pages, and all of them had the Recorder’s office seal of certificate. This was a Correction of Grant Deed. the APN number was 1014-171-16. In the upper right-hand corner, there was the number 2013-0151326, with the recording date being April 11, 2013. Mr. Hurst was directed to read the document by the prosecution which stated “know all men by these presents that the underlying signed grantor declares Barbara Bratton authority, and hereby grants and conveys this Correction Deed and its covenant to Barbara Bratton, Grantee, a living, breathing, natural woman. One of the people and the people are sovereign (Chisolm v. Georgia), domiciled in one of the several states, who is the absolute owner holding title in fee simple Absolute/Allodium (seisin) With all the rights, title interest, claims, privileges, and immunities, the real property land, situated in the city of Ontario, the San Bernardino County, state of California.

Mr. Hurst further stated that it was in fact Mr. Guevara who provided him with a copy of this correction deed with this peculiar wording. Mr. Hurst further explained that Mr. Guevara was adamant that he at no time gave any title or rights to Barbara Bratton.

Mr. Hurst further explained that this document was prepared by Barbara Bratton with a mailing location of 154-A West Foothill Blvd, No. 156. Upland, California. Prosecutor Welch ASKED if there was any significance with this address? Mr. Hurt replied that THERE WAS HUGE SIGNIFICANCE!
